From Newport, Oregon, WSW to 30 miles west of Yachats, then NW 10 miles.
Seas: mild seas, winds to 10 knots. Fog, 55F.

Seas were irregular. Fog wasn't too disruptive. It was quite cool (55F) while inland it was near 100F.
The species list was quite typical for early migration, and we saw the expected August specialties--Fork-tailed Storm-Petrels, Red-necked Phalaropes, Sabine's Gulls, Arctic Terns, and Long-tailed Jaegers.
